After graduating from Arvin, High I attended 1 1/2 years at Bakersfield Junior College. Yearning to be independent, I went to work for Transonic an electronic plant. Transonic began to have problems with a Union trying to get a foot hold in their organization.
A friend suggested I move to San Jose and go to the unemployment office, which I did and they found me a job with Eastman Kodak. I work there for several years, then tiring of driving back and forth I moved back to Bakersfield.
I went to work for Hopper's and then Contel Telephone. I retired from Contel.
Now I play with my computer creating all kinds of projects to share with family and friends. Also in the last couple of years I have renewed my love of the camera. Many of the pictures I take I incorporate into projects.
Starting on left side, front to back - Norma Royal, Faye Weller, Liz Hutson, going from back to front - Pat Marshall, Shirley Norwood and Winnie Royal. We were enjoying a delicious lunch at Chili's in Bakersfield, CA. We meet once a month and choose different restaurants. They say variety is the spice of life and we try to make each luncheon special.
